Western Photography Workshop

CA$1,500.00

Join me at Key Ranch just outside Kananaskis Alberta for two days of western photography on June 28th and 29th!

My goal is to teach you how to create an authentic western photo, and divulge the secrets I use to create my own western art.

Here’s a quick break down of the events:

Day 1: sunrise with Keith, a cowboy teepee, and some true Albertan prairie scenery: midday, spend time with Hailey Rae Stewart learning to create in midday sunshine: and for the evening we will get Hailey up on a hill with the mountains in the background and create some beautiful classic western photos.

Day 2: we will head out to a mountain spot with both Keith and Hailey, and create the classic scenes that dreams are made of! Minimal hiking required.

Topics Covered:

—Focusing for moving subjects like running horses

—Exposure settings for still and moving subjects

—Composing for interesting images and different styles such as editorial, fashion, and lifestyle

—How to interact with and be around horses as a photographer

—How to set up for a truly authentic scene

—How to shoot in various light

—How to shoot for brands

—If there’s interest, we can add an editing class on how to arrive at a good edit and add a little magic.

Travel, nights, and meals not included. Snacks and drinks will be provided all day each day.

I am absolutely stoked to offer this opportunity, and very much looking forward to share my knowledge of western photography with YOU
